Vander Esch's prior neck issues, including surgery in 2019 and an injury that kept him out of the final three games of a recent season, have been cause for concern. The linebacker finds himself in a familiar albeit unwanted situation, having incurred his latest injury from an unfortunate collision with a teammate's leg during play.
Given Vander Esch's history, his recovery is paramount. He could potentially return to the field against the Panthers on November 19, or in a subsequent game against the Seahawks on November 30. The latter matchup would mark a crucial division showdown for the Cowboys.
